Kew Reach signs MoU with Imar Engineering Consultants
Combining world-leading ecological science with local delivery expertise to advance large-scale restoration across Saudi Arabia.

Kew Reach has announced the signing of an MoU with Imar Engineering Consultants, a multidisciplinary consultancy based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, marking a significant step in expanding delivery of nature-based solutions across the region.
This brings together Kew Reach’s science-led approach to ecological restoration with Imar’s strong regional presence and technical expertise across engineering, planning and design. Imar has established itself as a trusted delivery partner in the Kingdom, with a track record of supporting complex infrastructure and development projects through integrated, multidisciplinary services. Their deep understanding of the local regulatory landscape, environmental conditions and client needs positions them as a valuable collaborator in advancing large-scale restoration and nature-positive development.
Kew Reach will provide specialist technical advisory across biodiversity gain and restoration, drawing on the scientific expertise of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Our work is grounded in the Kew Method, a structured, science-led framework that guides projects from baseline assessment through to implementation, monitoring and long-term adaptation. By combining this approach with Imar’s delivery capability and in-country experience, we can ensure that restoration projects are not only well designed, but also practical, scalable and resilient over time.
Saudi Arabia has set out ambitious environmental goals as part of its national transformation, including large-scale greening and landscape restoration initiatives. Kew Reach is already supporting these ambitions through its role as an advisor on the National Greening Programme, contributing scientific insight to help ensure that interventions deliver meaningful and lasting ecological outcomes. This new collaboration with Imar strengthens our ability to translate strategy into action on the ground, supporting projects that enhance biodiversity, improve ecosystem function and create long-term value for people and place.
The MoU reflects a shared commitment to delivering high-quality, scientifically robust solutions that respond to the challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss. By integrating global scientific expertise with local knowledge and delivery capability, Kew Reach and Imar aim to support the development of landscapes that are both environmentally resilient and economically viable.
As work progresses, both organisations will explore opportunities to collaborate across a range of projects in the Kingdom, from urban greening and habitat restoration to large-scale infrastructure-linked biodiversity programmes. Through this, Kew Reach continues to extend its reach internationally, applying trusted science to real-world challenges and delivering measurable impact at scale.
Kew Reach looks forward to working closely with Imar Engineering Consultants and to supporting the Kingdom’s vision for a more sustainable and nature-positive future
